An NYU Tisch graduate, David Mester established himself as a premier editor early in his career, rising to a full editor by age 25 and working on projects for MTV, BMW, and a documentary directed by Clint Eastwood. His trajectory was defined by a 20-year collaboration with Advertising Hall of Fame member Linda Kaplan Thaler and a leadership role at BlueRock Editorial. There, as Creative Director and Lead Editor, he helped shape the iconic voice of Wendy’s, driving the brand to surpass Burger King in sales for the first time in history.
Expanding his reach into documentary filmmaking, David contributed to Ron Howard’s Rebuilding Paradise and HBO’s After the Bite while continuing to edit campaigns for global brands like Citi and Chevron. Recently, he has pivoted into the world of AI filmmaking for agencies such Dentsu Creative/NY. Whether crafting emotional narratives or music-driven montages, David seamlessly blends his commercial and documentary expertise to tell compelling stories with a distinctive artistic vision.
